Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The generous portion sizes at Cosmo's are a crowd-pleaser, with small fish suppers often deemed more than enough. Patrons rave about the excellent price-to-value ratio, where a meal might cost around £6 yet leave diners satisfied. The staff is consistently praised for their friendliness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The exceptional quality of the food also stands out, with many noting the freshness of the fish and the lightness of the batter. Awards displayed in the window prove the credibility of this establishment and reflect its commitment to offering outstanding fish and chips. Plus, the convenient location attracts both locals and visitors, making it a lively gathering spot.

Most Disliked

On the flip side, some customers point out that busy periods can lead to longer wait times, especially during Friday evenings when the place hits full capacity. While the vibrant environment is inviting, it can get noisy at peak hours, detracting from the casual dining experience some might expect. Another common complaint involves limited options for those looking for healthier meals, as the menu heavily focuses on traditional fried foods. Aspiring for a diverse menu, potential diners may find fewer options for light bites. Lastly, popular lunch and dinner hours can mean patrons need to plan better to avoid the rush, particularly on weekends.

Our first time getting takeaway here but definitely not last! Portions are huge (we got small fish supper), great value for money (£6 for that) and friendly service. And the food was great too!

Best Fish and Chip shop has many contenders and everyone has their own favourite. The similarities are endless and the menus rarely vary by much. Nor do the prices. What struck me with Cosmo’s was the cleanliness of the interior. The friendliness of the young lady while I waited for my fresh chips. The numerous awards in the window. And the obvious loyalty of the customers, as most were on first name terms. Cosmo’s deserves to be up there with the best and Debbie behind the counter gets my vote too. Close to the town centre and the Airport this is well worth a visit. Highly Recommended.

One of the few chippies that offer you a verity of deep fried pizza. Onion, mushrooms or cheese. Fritters are amazing. Would recommend day in and day out. Update went back on the 12th May 25 and it was just as epic.
